Community Turbine News Update
From Dec 1 2012 the feed-in tarrif will be 21p per KW/hr (Unit) plus a 4.5p export rate (electricity that is fed into the grid)

These figures are indexed linked and will be paid for 20 years.
OtleyGreen has received a very generous offer of land to build a community wind turbine. We believe that such a project is feasible and could be sited with negligible impact on the village. If successful it would raise thousands of pounds every year for the next 20 years for the Otley community. See where the money comes from here.
A project like this raises lots of questions. In order to gauge your views and answer questions we held a public meeting at Otley Village Hall on 9 March, 2011.
During the meeting "Post it" notes were used for people to record their comments and make suggestions. These, together with responses from OtleyGreen, have been collated and can be viewed here. Youa re also welcome to use the forum to post further questions and comments.
